As fate willed…
…yesterday I found out that Star Wars Galaxies (SWG) has implemented a new profession: the Beast Master. This reading exactly on the day that was the last I was able to reactivate my account without loosing my belongings (deadline was “before” 31th May) such as houses and mounts appeared like a broad wink to me and of course I reactivated. Due to the long time installing and updating (haven’t played for 2 years) I only had time to look up my chars and practise the new way of movement a little. Three of my chars a already high enough to start the Beast Master at once, but since instead of taming animals you have to get their DNA, incubate an egg and then raise your pet (GORGIOUS IDEA), I have no pet right away lol.
I reactivated my accounts for only 4 weeks at first step to figure out if I like the new SWG. And I will just write on here telling about it ^^
Statistics
Ok, since Thrall is down I am going to make my long planned list of personal pets statistics *g*
- Pets I haven’t tamed at all yet: netherray, serpent, warpstalker, nightsaber (the kind that looks like a twilight runner), King Bangalash (dont like his pinkish nose
), Sian-Rotam (what for when you can get Echeyakee^^), the big colored tigers like Rak’Shiri (don’t like the colors and the look of them), panther, boars (tho I like the look of the black ones, the young thistles and orange Agam’ar), ghost saber (no idea if I can spawn it being Horde) - Pets I have only tamed for skills: black/brown bears, crab, razorfang, carrion, brown lynx (ghostclaw)
- Pets I tamed for keeping but didn’t (f. e. cus I didn’t like the look together with my hunter or abondend them for another pet): pink hyena (Snort), green-pink turtle, glassweb spider, black raptor (daggermaw), moonstalker, nightstalker
- Pets I tamed and kept at least a few levels: golden dragonhawk (crazed), raptor Takk the Leaper, wolves (Timber, Snarler, felpaw wolf), grey crocolisk (dreadmaw), lynx (springpaw cub), durotar tiger, polar bear (Mangeclaw), gorilla (Uhk’loc), bat (Ressan), young spore bat (during BC Beta), scorpid (Death Flayer and a golden scorpashi lasher), cougar (Broken Tooth), black-red spider (Sri’skulk)
- Pets I have not as main pets, but left behind in various stables on some higher level: tallstrider (Mazzranache and Strider Clutchmother), white windserpent (elder cloud), white frostsaber cub, white owl (winterspring), black owl (kaliri swooper)
- Main Pets: snow leopard and owl (skettis kaliri) on Dreamz, goldenskin lioness (Araga) on Mílky, goldenskin lion (The Rake) on Winzige, black lion twice (Humar the Pridelord) on Latoyaa and Kiwiana, white lion twice (Echeyakee) on Rainbow and Eisvögelchen, goldenskin leopard (Dishu) on Fairytale, nightstalker on Forever, grey wolf (Mist Howler) on Milky.
- Rare Pets I camped for and never saw/got: red wolf Barnabus and grey wolf Old Cliff Jumper
- Pets I have an eye on for the future: silver-brown wolf Ironjaw for Latoyaa (and perhaps a red-black gorilla like the Feralas groddoc ape), brown owl (windroc) for Mílky, green warpstalker for – don’t know yet^^, pink eclipsion dragonhawk for Fairytale, I also like the look of the new windserpents in Outland^^
The Kaliri Story
While getting exalted reputation with the Mag’har (beautiful skin tone on those orcs btw., I wished they implement that option for creating orcs^^) to be able to ride a Talbuk Dreamz also made it to level 70 and so not only bought a White Riding Talbuk (dont like the war ones cus the armor hides a lot of the look) but a flying mount – Blue Windrider – also.
Shortly after all that I felt a lack of aim 
I played my other chars for a few days when during a visit of Petopia the Skettis Kaliri crossed my surfing again. Besides Dreamgirl the snow leo there were two pets in Dreamz’ stable: a fresh tamed level 66 black raptor (Daggermore Blackhide) and a black owl (Kaliri Swooper) of level 66 too. I have had fun with the owl (name is Dreamy), always having a little falcon owl pet of the exact same look out with her which made it seem like if I had a mummy and a baby owl with me ^^ I had stopped leveling Dreamy to get Dreamgirl up which was like 3 levels behind me, not really helpful when doing instance zones with my guild.
I decided on setting the raptor free and looked up Petopia to find out where to get the Skettis Kaliri. The area it was shown in I hadn’t visited before and so headed to Stonebreaker Hold, figuring I had to ride around on my Talbuk and try to find the entrance to that Kaliri area. Lol stupid me… After searching for a while I suddenly remembered that I have – a FLYING mount by now! Rofl… I wasn’t really used to that fact yet, so I forgave myself *g* and approached the area on the back of my windrider.
But hey – that wasn’t easy at all due to those other owls (looking like the Avian Ripper) which fly high also and attack you when you get close to them. And I still didn’t know where to find the Skettis Kaliri exactly! I managed to escape two attacks of the red-orange owls while looking out for my target. Finally – flying closer to the ground and being in the eastern end of the area – I spotted a Skettis Kaliri and while I was thinking about on where exactly I should land I got attacked a third time. This time the aggresive owl threw me off my windrider but I got lucky – landed in the hills still alive, the owl had left and I managed to jump further down, Skettis people and a Skettis Kaliri in sight. Thanks aggressive owl – this was a nice spot to get kicked off your flying mount. What I noticed first was the fact that the name of the Kaliri was shown in yellow letters, I remembered Olm the Wise, the bird with Cenarius faction, and was a bit afraid that I might not be able to tame the Kaliri due to something like that, tho I hadn’t read anything about it on Petopia.
A bit away I saw another player fighting the Skettis people, but she didn’t be interested in the owl (I only saw one of them). Between me and the owl was a feathered Skettis guy and when I attacked him the Skettis Kaliri followed and attacked me too – yellow letters changed into red! I placed a freezing trap, killed the Skettis guy, set my raptor free and started on taming the Kaliri. No problem until – something happened which I am still not sure of, but the red letters turned into yellow again and MY Kaliri attacked that other player that was around too 
Perhaps she had shot it or the Kaliri was somehow bond to a mob she had fought before – I still have no idea. Nevertheless when she had killed the Kaliri she wasn’t able to loot it – but I was and I did, showing off that this had been a mob I was fighting. I sure was angry but since that player hurried away she might have figured that she had been mistaken and so I didn’t say anything^^
Not seeing another Skettis Kaliri I went back to my save spot close to the hills, waiting and watching. Then suddenly another spawned. I waited a moment to see if the player attacked it but she was busy fighting Skettis people. So I ran closer, shot the Kaliri (letters turned red), placed a trap but stupidly hit it once and it break out. So I just hoped for a first tame success and that the other player would not interact again. And so it happened – shortly after the beautiful Skettis Kaliri was mine 
Then I just ported myself back to my homespot in Garadar (Nagrand) and logged off to think about a name. I had planned on using Dreamer perhaps, since I had Dreamgirl and Dreamy already, but finally decided that owl deserved a more fitting name. Therefore I named her Rainbow ^^ Since then I have hunted with her a few times now (my next aim might be exalted reputation with the Consortium for they have some nice items, no recipes for me tho since I am an Alchemist) and it seems not easy to get a level 70 pet to love you like hell *g* But I’m sure time will help that
Forever Yours
And well, yes, of course I want to try out a Draenei and the new Alli areas too, so these are Forever and her tiger Yours Only level 10, had not much time for them yet.
Kiwiana & Eisvögelchen
Transfer Girls #2 and 3: Besides Latoyaa I brought my nightelf Kiwiana (level 57) and my dwarf Eisvögelchen (“little ice bird”, level 25) over from Sen’jin, but I am barely playing them – they are my “other side team” – positioned in Stormwind and Gadgetzan they help me to things I don’t get on Horde side

(she also has Schatten, means “Shadow”, the black lion Humar). Kiwiana was my first ever WoW char, her name was Tazja on Sen’jin, I had to change it after transfer and chose the name I have also in use for my main EQ2 char^^
Eisvögelchen with Magic (Echeyakee):
(she also has Flöckchen, means “little Flake”, a polar bear (Mangeclaw) and Rainbow, the Strider Clutchmother). At the time of getting Echeyakee I was playing on Sen’jin with my boyfriend and we both made up Horde chars until they had been given the Echeyakee quest, then brought our dwarfs over and helped each other to two white lions *g*
Fairytale
So finally I created my one and only BE hunter girlie^^ Using the looks of my paladin (btw. ALL of my BE girls have the same face since that one is the only one I like lol. And funny thing – it’s the one I see extremely rare on other BE females, what makes me very very happy, cus I prefer individuality and thats kind of hard to get in WoW) I already decided which pet she would get, one that I also wanted to have for a long time (had it once on Latoyaa, but left it for Humar).
Meet Fairytale, Lurky (the Murloc) and AliBaba:
AliBaba is the goldenskinned leopard Dishu (rare) which I camped for about two days Since I have some future plans for Fairytale (having this pet some time of the name Fairy and becoming a member of my guild) I train her on more professions than my other BE hunters, she cooks, fishes, mines and furries (is that the right translation? Taking skins of animals that is *g*), gets to know all weapons there are and is played in a slow way so I dont loose the fun on her^^ She is level 26 by now.
Rainbow & Winzige
Addicted to Blood Elves: I really LOVE the look of them, seems like they were made just for ME since I always try to have beautiful looking chars, no matter which MMORPG I play. I even like the male ones and started out with a male BE hunter when BC was there, but I just like to play females better (perhaps some identification stuff *g*) and so gave up on him (sorry Ennis & Jack^^).
This is the BE hunter I created after I deleted my male BE, her name is Rainbow which makes it easy on her clothings – whatever mixed she wears it fits her name To her side her best friend Snow (notice how Rainbow and Snow goes together, in sounding and meaning^^), whiteskin lion Echeyakee (rare), another fav of mine, which I already have on a dwarf hunter, but again since that one is on Alli side I wanted one on Horde side too.
I wasn’t really sure to keep Rainbow or not, that is cus I do like the big wild hair style but I hate the hairband it comes with, wishing they had just left it off or had given it a more neutral color. Also I gave her the darkest RED skin tone there is and for a while felt it to be too reddish. If there were no hairband that hair style would be my favorite, but due to that stupid thing I played around with another hairstyle and a second BE hunter came to life:
This is Winzige (means “tiny one”) and I chose her skin and hair color to match the colors of her pet to be – meet Wuschel (“frizzy” might be the right translation), goldenskin lion The Rake (rare), former fastest low level cat in game. I had him a lot of times for the first pet of a hunter (I think Latoyaa had him and Milky and even Dreamz) but I never kept him very long, since I always had my eyes on some other pet. So now I hope his chances are a bit bigger
But anyway still I wasn’t very satisfied with the look of my BE, her dark hair made her skin so awfully light, although I had chosen the darkest brown that was possible. Besides my hunters (which are not guilded yet btw., only the male one was) I had started on a BE Paladin and her look was the one I liked most^^ She was around level 24 when I figured her future would probably be alike the one my undead warrior went through (stopped at level 45 and now only does cooking, mining and smithing) and so I gave up on her. Since I didn’t use her looks for a hunter yet, that was the time to start on a BE hunter with my favorite look…
Nevertheless I kept Winzige (level 22 now) and Rainbow (level 35 now) and at least Rainbow has a chance to make it to a Hawkstrider, very colorful one of course
